چکیده

DyTR is an approach to trust that goes beyond traditional authentication-based techniques, in which the trustworthiness of entities in a system adapts over time based on system events. Using a socio-cognitive model of trust, DyTR provides an adaptive trustassessment methodology that allocates resources dynamically to an initial level of credentials, continually assesses trust, and adaptively allocates resources in accordance with changes in perceived trust. DyTR tightly couples this continually assessed trust with low-level resource-allocation mechanisms to ensure that requesting entities are trusted and, thus, permitted to use system resources. If a requesting entity exhibits suspicious behavior, DyTR degrades its level of trust for that entity, and subsequently reduces that entity’s access to system resources, so that other critical resources can continue to operate. This demonstration features a coalition naval fleet simulation in which DyTR dynamically assesses the trustworthiness of coalition entities and uses trust assessments to regulate weapon, sensor, and communication pathway resource allocations.

Access Control Based Resource Allocation in Cloud Computing Environment

In this paper, we propose a new dynamic resource allocation scheme Access Control-based Resource Allocation (ACRA) for cloud users in order to address some deficiencies of the current resources allocation mechanisms in some free cloud computing environment. The proposed scheme comprehensively analyses behavior characteristics of cloud users and evaluates user behavior trust using fuzzy analytic...

Bandwidth and Delay Optimization by Integrating of Software Trust Estimator with Multi-User Cloud Resource Competence

Trust Establishment is one of the significant resources to enhance the scalability and reliability of resources in the cloud environment. To establish a novel trust model on SaaS (Software as a Service) cloud resources and to optimize the resource utilization of multiple user requests, an integrated software trust estimator with multi-user resource competence (IST-MRC) optimization mechanism is...

A heuristic method for consumable resource allocation in multi-class dynamic PERT networks

This investigation presents a heuristic method for consumable resource allocation problem in multi-class dynamic Project Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT) networks, where new projects from different classes (types) arrive to system according to independent Poisson processes with different arrival rates. Each activity of any project is operated at a devoted service station located in a n...

Trusted Resource Allocation in Grid Computing by Using Reputation

Grid system is a dynamic environment where every entity share the resources provided by the other entities. The system enables the coordinated and aggregated use of geographically distributed resources, often owned by autonomous organizations, for solving large-scale problems in science, engineering. However, application composition, resource management and scheduling in these environments is a...

Trust-based Task Assignment in Military Tactical Networks

Resource or task assignment problems have been studied extensively in military network environments as efficient and effective resource allocation is the key to successful mission completion. However, existing works on asset‐task assignment problems are based only on the best match between functionalities of a node and requirements of a task. We propose a composite trust based task assignment p...
